O,hello I'm just
looking to chat about chickens or something.just bored

I just came home with 28 3-5 day old chicks and 4 2 week olds. I can't sleep lol so stressed. Had to pull a few of the smaller ones and larger ones too that were being picked on and put into another brooder... while the 2 week olds sleep snugly

Just came back in for the night (got the growout tractor coop mostly ready - just need to hang the feeder and waterer). Looks like the duckling in the incubator rolled the last egg so that the little one was beak down and can't get out. No movement. 

Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee..... (splat)

(BRB, need to clean exploded brains off of keyboard.)

Nah, my sister lives in a suburb. Just hang out, enjoy seeing her and the kids, and my bil will drive me back to the airport to fly home Tuesday morning.

Even the suburbs make me feel claustraphobic, lol!

Today got off to a decent start; just woke up to 2/12 chicks hatched that weren't officially due 'til tomorrow. Not bad, so far, considering I really didn't expect any to successfully hatch after all the humidity swings from the beginning, so every one's an unexpected bonus. The

rest of the day should be interesting.

Woke up to use the facilities; knew from experience it was useless to try to go back to sleep. Besides, I wanted to check on my eggs; I don't keep the 'bator next to the bed like some on here who shall remain nameless. Good thing I did, as it turned out.
