Nothing like coming in the house for lunch hot and sweaty and getting in the pool to cool off. One of the best things about summer.

No pool here (one day, maybe), but just walking inside and feeling the AC is such a joy (esp. as my work shirt is usually soaked with sweat).

I checked on the chickens - they are ok, a few open beaks (but not the chicken-in-distress panting) - interestingly, mostly among the young BCMs. I'll need to keep an eye on them in case they don't handle the heat as well as the others. All the coops are in good, deep shade. I'll start to put out ice water wading dishes in the next couple weeks - it's been unusually cool and hasn't really hit 95F yet (which is crazy). Making up some ice cube treats this weekend for them.

OK, enough futzing around, gotta get back to work.

No it's the temperature I hope they are wrong. Chickens don't do well and neither do I. I usually run sprinklers on their roof to help.

Had to be go take care of my vets farm this morning which took a hour and a half.
Well I had 2 broody geese hatch eggs and I decided to let the geese do the brooding for me and everything was great so I leave to go do something be come back and most of the goslings are gone bubbles included. I'm hoping they will turn up but I don't know it makes me feel so bad.

Oh noooo!!! I hope he comes back!
