CH I am not sure what to tell you.... to do if you think that was the one that was off by two degrees ... maybe you can test it in a cup of warm water with your ear one??? see if you can see how off that one is with it??

Many of the ear thermometers are instant read. Simply take a reading on the egg shell. If it's 99.5-100.5 at the middle of the egg immediately after opening the incubator after it's been closed for a while, then all is good. CH, can you please test that?
