Yeah but uh,they had cool Indians to play with at that time&learn to plant corn no fair. Plus they could hunt buffalo,,,wahhh I wanna hunt a buffalo mc. Or they got to do all that cool beading stuff. Now it's $15at Wal-Mart(if u live thru black friday) for a sewing kit that once you get home&open it says(yarn not included) just great "ok wild kratts time guys" tv on,subliminal messages 'I want Snickers I want Snickers must consume snickers' ugh.

Good heavens, this thread moves fast! Thanks for the welcome and understanding, everyone. Yeah, it's kinda… impossible to say "no" under certain circumstances. I have turned down their offer of hatching eggs, but they are determined it seems. I already have two broodies and chicks from the same people here, the first, an OEG (LF) hen and 4 OEGxAseel chicks, followed by an AseelxIrish Game hen and assorted chicks. I hope games are less interesting to hatch than they are to raise. I thought I had feisty broodies before… ouch, but they're awesome.

@sumi will you be able to sell chicks there well? you are still doing the meal worms? you should show everyone your set up sometime and tell them how you raise them!

Well, folks, I've been on here since 8 o'clock getting caught up, but the grass is dry enough to mow now, so I'd best get at it; before DW gets home & drops a honey-do list on me.

I pray your spitz are hardier than mine where they were my dream chicken and they did not like it here at all! So glad you have your polish!!!

Husband did some weeding with the weed eater today, saved me a few hours of pulling! Going to be edging the path to the coop tomorrow when we can get fuel, so I don't have to wear galoshes just to get to the birds.

Growing up, we knew all about the foods that my father was raised on, but never had that kind of stuff. Though I will not eat that kind of stuff, I will cook it. So, I will not say yuck.

I think the moisture from the other toppings would soften it.

The dog won't eat it, but the chickens I am sure would. I guess I may as well toss it with the feathers though.
