I tried that for YEARS - it was always either underdone/uncooked in the center or over cooked. I never got the hang of it. I was convinced that I could just never bake bread. Then I started using a thermometer - now I bake all my own bread.
(I think you are way more talented than I am, Benny!!!!)
Seriously?! I thought you were yanking our chain!

I'm up (have been up a while), trying to clear my head of a nasty headache I woke up with this morning. Waiting for pain meds to kick in - and I have to be sitting upright (if I stay in bed, pressure in my head just makes it worse). Can't stomach eggs - yogurt is working ok so far.
Looks to be a busy week for me - If I don't keep up, thanks again everyone for listening to me/hugging me over my difficult cull day yesterday (I can't imagine having to do that "alone"). Sally, try the bread again (either my version/instructions or Ron's) - use the thermometer and let it cool - those are two things that help avoid the outcome you were having. MC, please stop drinking gross stuff in the AM.
I'll see you guys on the flip side.
