They looked perfect! This would be my first time hatching eggs not using a broody hen at all, even though I have two broodies that I might use to help raise the chicks. The chick that I hatched before was incubated under a broody until day 18 when I realized that the two top hens might attack the chick.
Awesome!!! Good luck with Hatching them out!!!

:frow Hi Peter!  My broody does too!  Kid was screaming bloody murder this morning and here a chick got out of the coop and all the other birds were chasing it, finally caught it and moved them all to a grow out pen, momma was POd but now cuddled nicely with her babies.

I'm glad she settled in. Never had much luck with other hens being around broody and chicks. Glad you caught the chick it doesn't go well for them being chased.

@Sally Sunshine @DwayneNLiz I would help with a contest, but I don't know what we would have to do. I would gladly let you participate, but would need you to set it up.
I hope you are both well today.

@Sally Sunshine

see Sally we'd love to help you!!

running away from me first time in water finally got them in their duck house
What kind of ducks?........mine started hiding when they know I'm gonna pit them up at night. It's funny to watch them....they stick their jaffa up from their hiding spots....i always win in the end....but they have fun thinking they are getting away with something.
are there support groups in your area? i know there are a few around here and we are rural
She mostly uses me as her support....it's okay i got big shoulders.....it has so far worked well for her....but I'm always diligent.
:hugs My DD's friend -(well they were on the same sports team) died from an accidental heroin OD a week ago. She was about 19. She was adopted at birth, had every possible physical need met. Probably not enough discipline though but otherwise had Amazing parents. She had got a sports scholarship to college, and had a summer job in a store. She seemed to be straightening out -and then this. So so sad.
We were teenage parents....my wife was 16 when we had our oldest.....i never remember having to do much disaplining ....my kids grew up poor but i have them everything i could and in return they have us respect.......my children all turned out great my oldest is 33 and is a hospital director of nursing.....(still not real sure what that is)......my point here is that respect is what seems to be missing alot on families.....once you get a child's respect everything else is easy....knowing how we grew up I'm glad i was able to break some bad cycles with my kids.

Btw,the five others are separate from the sick one. And all six are separate from the entire flock. I'm looking forward to any advice. Lovage doll!

Write something to Sally Sunshine...oh also,she is quite lathargic. I'm wondering if she's too far gone and if I should cull her or is treatment worth a try. Again,I'm naive to this particular issue so please bare with me!

Hey honey,Glory here. My new chicken came home with green yucky smelly crap on her rear. I immediately separated her and the five others who were sold with her. How do I help? Should I continue to isolate the five others who seem fine? I've never dealt with this so I'm very clueless! Thank you for any advice. God bless.

Some things are treatable, some are not.
