Not in the same ratio, 30-40 grams per 10 kilo if you ferment your feed no problem to use it also.
Thank you so much for the info!!!

I am not from the US so I can't tell you a specific brand. But the hottest you can find. I dont know if they will mange with the Trinidad scorpion ( 500,000-1,500,000 in Scoville index! Habanero is just 100,000-300,000!)

The hottest peppers I had in my garden last year were the chocolate habaneros. Tastiest pepper were the Fatali's. Fatali's have a wonderful citrus taste at the front, and a late BURN.

These are the peppers I fermented last year. Not too much bubbling that I see anymore, but I do burp them every few weeks. They still smell good! The small container is a mix of all the other containers. They all have a bell pepper, garlic, shredded carrots and onions in them. One has a mix of Jalapeno, Poblano, Serrano, Cayenne and a couple of plain Habaneros. I had a mystery habanero, it wasn't labeled. I had Fatali Habanero, Chocolate and regular habanero. One is straight chocolate, the other is a combo of the Fatali and plain Habanero.

I didn't label the jars, and they have gotten moved around quite a bit. Should be easy to tell them apart once I start tasting them - I hope.

Now I need to figure out what to do with all these fermented peppers. I'm thinking lots of hot sauce!!!

Lock down tonight on a bunch of my backyard mix eggs. I have not candled them even once, so should be interesting to see if I have anything to lock down!

Happy Hatching everyone!

Lockdown is so exciting!

You could be right. I've not been around them much; a friend of mine had a small herd. I figured they were a novlty more than anything else. I had mostly Alpines & a few Nubians when I had any at all.
I'm probably wrong! I've never had goats, only read about them!

You would be ..... hmmmm ..... I don't know. Maybe four?

About guineas - I want to know everything! I have a lot of reading to do! I have two keets coming next Wednesday with five chicks. Can I raise them together? If the brooder has to be 95 degrees for the guineas until they are fully feathered, how would I raise them with chicks? Can they eat chick starter? What should I read to learn more about them? I already read the thread "Raising Guinea Fowl 101" but not much else!

:gig :lau :gig

Hmmm .... I might try that! Do the eggs taste different than regular eggs?

I'm no expert, but you wouldn't catch me doing that! I don't think they're careful enough!

:fl

I raised them together, and IMO 95 'till fully feathered is a myth- mine were no longer going under the heating pad by the time they were half feathered. I fed mine Purina flock raiser.

Oh, but they are a bit more fragile than chicks, so make sure they aren't wet or in a draft. Sorry to all guinea lovers, but I think they're a few legos short of a whole set as well.....

Thanks! I was wondering how I would keep them together with the temp problem! I'll pick up some flock raiser if I can get to TSC anytime soon. If I can't, do they need niacin like ducks do?

Alright! Should there be marbles in the waterer so they don't fall in and drown? Oh, and, is it ok to just have two? If they're both males, is that a problem?
