Mama hen's TICKED!!! Wanted a piece of me bad. I just took her lone chick from her & put it in the brooder with the ones born on 7/2. Got to wondering how I'd feed it Chick Starter w/o the adults eating it. No good way to block off part of the run or coop. Easier to put her at the "kids table" 'til she's grown up a bit. Introducing [COLOR=800000]MC[/COLOR][COLOR=000000] (yellow one in the back & camera shy), the first chick ever hatched here by a hen, and the first one ever named.[/COLOR] [COLOR=000000]Special kind of chick for a special kind of lady.[/COLOR] [COLOR=000000]If "she" turns out to be a "he", the name will be changed to MC Hammer (hence no Bubbles, Liz, or Sally...not easily convertible) [/COLOR]

Hello Whites. I think I'm going to take the eggs from my broody Thursday as they are due Friday. Due to the reason you mentioned and they could easily slip into the adults pen from where they are.
