I don't know for sure that they don't harm ducks
I just looked it up, and apparently ducks can get gapeworm. I never should have believed that feed "expert."

There are some parasitic worm that their intermediate host are snails and slugs, gape worm ,and some other.

Thanks. Do you know why they are harmful to chickens but not ducks? Or is it not true that they don't harm ducks?


Pretty sure ducks get the same parasites as chickens.

Be aware that a lot of chicken parasites use a intermediate hosts, especially beetles, earth worms ect. As vectors entering the chicken.

Okay well he poop so thats a good sign!! I think. Hes a pekin/American duck mix. Im giving him a little bit of water brown sugar baking soda and salt mixter here and there his brooder is about 85 90 degrees. He seems to be getting better in time!

have you put anything on its navel/yolk yet?

Oh! I thought it was just a few, like snails and slugs! Is there any way to keep the chickens from getting worms from bugs?
