Pooping and getting better are good signs.

If you look at a dropping under a microscope, could you tell if the bird had worms that are in the GI tract (is that what it's called in birds?)

Yes, keep them confined to a sterile building and never let them out to act like chickens and follow any and all biosecurity measures.

LOL! My chickens would go on strike!

Google fecal flotation.

Pretty sure ducks get the same parasites as chickens.

Ok. Are they less likely to have that kind of problem since they're not as domesticated?

those things are gross

Sure are! I hope my birds never get any! :sick

Be were that a lot of chicken parasites use a intermediate hosts, especially beetles, earth worms ect. As vectors entering the chicken.

Oh! I thought it was just a few, like snails and slugs! Is there any way to keep the chickens from getting worms from bugs?

Thanks!

Insect from one hand are grate food source for them but there is always the tisk of infection! And the truth is that all chicken have parasites, the influence of them on the chicken is depending on their Load, and is dependent on the helth and the immune efficiency of the chicken immune system, instead on treating parasites invest in preventing from them to reach the load that make a damage.

Interesting. Guess I couldn't do it myself, then.

What helps keep the immune system efficient? Cleanliness?
