They should be fine. They've slept in the coop for about 6 weeks, but I just opened it to the big girl run last week (before that I was moving them every morning to a different unattached run and then every evening putting them back in the coop). So they have been going in and out of the coop and run now by themselves for a week.
Especially since the hatch I did in Jan gave me 5 boys from 5 eggs.Should be some good breeding stock. Yea it does sound like you're a rooster magent![]()
They should be fine.
Thank you. The crosses won't be for a while yet. The 2 NN pullets I have are 20 wks. Should have an egg any day as one of them is doing the squat.seriously a chicken question! lol
sorry about the losses!!Good luck with the new crosses!!![]()

i think they'll be fine, scared but theyll figure it outThanks, I think they enjoy having the run to themselves when I let the big girls out LOL. But, I think they would enjoy some free ranging too.

I have a chicken question too!![]()
My 12 week old chicks that I put in with my big girls have been integrated about a week now. (I use the term "integrated" loosely, as the 3 of them stay in a little group and don't go near the others, but no fighting and no blood shed.) Anyway, every evening when I get home from work I let the big girls out to free range until bedtime, but I have been leaving the 12 week old ones in the run. At what point do you think it would be safe to let the 12 week old chicks free range with the big girls? (I guess I mostly worry that since they are not SUPER friendly that the big girls might chase them off or they might get lost and not know how to get back to the coop.)
