Looking SE. Plenty of shade for the far coop / run. You can see a few of the upcoming generation in & under the nearest coop.

That's an awesome coop. Did they have any trouble leaning to go up ramp to get in?

Silver Maple, I believe. It was a grown tree when we came here 3 years ago

Looks like a nice tree for shade then sunlight in winter.

I've planted a Scarlet Maple supposed to be real pretty in the winter. Hasn't yet

Processing in that heat does not sound fun at all.

No it wasn't. Was going to get it earlier but the wife needed things done only so much time in a day. Once I get dinner going I'll go out and check on things.

Sitting here I can see a swarm of yellow jackets at the pond. Have to investigate that as well. They look really mad. Always something. Can't have them there our small dogs go there all the time.

Yesterday she got the trash can from the road, fed and watered, filled the baby pool, and collected eggs. She even dumped the dirty water from dishes. Watering thr garden was a bit much. She was tired of working, and wanted to water me instead.

Not mad. Just hot.

She'll be wanting money soon.

The first occupants were about 8-10 weeks old when I put them in there. It took them a day or two to learn how to negotiate the ramp, but they could fly up to the porch the ramp leans on. Unfortunately, they also figured out that they could fly over the fence or onto the roof if they were of a mind to. Haven't had that problem but once, thankfully. They'll be moving in with the adults soon, leaving only the 3 week olds in that coop. They've been there 2 days, & I've only seen one on the ground so far. Didn't see how it got down or back into the coop, so can't say whether they've figured out the ramp yet.

she is sick....but home resting.....that's why we took the kids to the drive in....hopefully she's okay tomorrow. She's not puking anymore.....so there's at least that.
