I left the spigot on for quite a while yesterday, and it leaks. I tried to not worry about it, but I very much am now! I put an empty 5 gallon bucket under the spigot while I was filling the waters and watering the garden. In the 10 minutes I was using the hose, the bucket was overflowing.
I think there is something very wrong with my city water line. I have two leaky faucets in the house, and a leaky spigot. Bad water pressure in the toilet, and I often lose pressure in the shower as well. The faucets and spigot/hose issues have all been worked on recently. It has to be a city water problem. I think keeping the well would have been less troublesome!
Have you called the city's Public Utilities office, or whoever you pay your water bill to?

Yes, lockdown the pheasants day 23/24. When my guinea keets got loud I just payed them some attention, that seemed to calm them down.

Quail are starting to hatch. I woke at 4:16 this morning, 3 were zipping. 5:15 3 were out! Ohhhh boy! Time to move Giants to coop, clean out the barn brooder and put quail in the barn. New eggs arrived Saturday as well. 18 again, my bator is full.
Congratulatiions!

Hi, I just wanted to update you all...
The other day I posted on here about my duck eggs as I couldn't see veins or movement in some of themand it was day 21. Well today I candled them and I saw movement in all 10! Thanks for all of your help. One last thing.. because they are shipped eggs a couple have saddle air sacs, tomorrow is lockdown would you suggest sitting them ones in a cut down egg carton? Would I sit it up straight to hatch?

Morning Liz!

Anytime! I'm mobile so every thing is a pain lol

And the thread disappears until someone posts something new, can't stay long need to get dressed and get moving DH is already outside working on the tractor trying to get the backhoe put back on (hence why I am hiding inside lol)

What's today's project?

Morning Abi. Working on coffee. NO editor again!!!

Sitting on deck enjoying cool morning.

Approximately 18 birds left too go. Depends on who or if I keep any.

Wasps have been sprayed.

You have been busy!

They have you at their mercy, and they know it, but do you really have an option?

I've had two plumbers and a handyman. Plus a guy that knows his way around plumbing.

Hello, I have been on here on and off to ask qustions from the most knowledgeable people when it comes to hatching eggs. (Sorry for bad grammar I don't feel like commas and periods and fighting auto correct lol) I have a call duck egg in the incubator right now and it it's parents are show quality meaning they have small beaks. The most exsperinsed hatchet of this quality of calls recently moved to the other side of the country and another I know is successful due to his ability to assist in hatching but I want to be very careful as this duckling would mean a lot if it hatched. I will assist if nessary but I wan to avoid it and in this very long and irrelevant story the qustion is are ducks the same on chickens (other than dates) when It comes down to assisted hatching? And can someone post a thread about assisting in a hatch?
good luck! As everyone already said of 1, you will probably have to assist call ducks are the hardest to incubated/hatch you may want to talk to @RavynFallen she raises them and hatches all the time
