I mentioned a nest in my outdoor oven. Here it is. Not sure how I will block it off.

Hey all! I'm planning on doing a readback sometime, just haven't gotten around to it. I have a question that is not related to incubation, but since there are many non-incubation topics discussed on here, I figured it would be ok to ask.Does anyone have any helpful tips or secrets on giving a chicken a pill? I have been just breaking the capsule open and putting it on wet craisins (her absolute favorite snack), but she's getting bored of that and all the other things I've put it on, so finally, I have no choice but to shove the whole capsule down her throat. Unfortunately, she has been most uncooperative, and I am at a loss of what to do. If anyone can help, it is much appreciated. I do know how to give it to her, but I can't. Thank you.![]()
A question that is related to incubation ... my parakeet laid six eggs and hatched three, and it's been a little while so I don't think the others will hatch. I candled them and tossed them all as they looked either infertile or dead. My question is, why are the air cells so big? Chicken egg air cells are much smaller compared to the egg.
Have a great weekend, everybody!
It does look easy ... now I'll go try it and see if it's as easy as it looks! Thank you very much!![]()
looks easy enough
i wonder if the air cells on the parakeets are why they didnt hatch? i have no idea
