sorry about the chick, I've lost 4 of the flock so far from predators, caught 2 possum's and 1 raccoon neither of them made from my yard, I hate killing critters, however I will protect my own.Hi!!![]()
Speaking of storms, the rain last week put about a foot of water in a bucket. Unfortunately, the chick that I couldn't find yesterday was in there.At least I found it. Bad way to die though. I feel bad drowning a bug.![]()

Has anyone see a cockrel starting to crow at 4 weeks old? this is a first time for me!!
What I wondered is if they are vulnerable. When I'm indoors, I can't hear birds so I want to know if they can protect themselves during the day and how that compares to at night.They are noisy if they hear or see them.
