The tale of the abandoned eggs.

They were internally pipped (a day from hatch) last Wednesday when Lagertha abandoned her nest. They were cold overnight and then Cinder has been off and on since then. Today I checked and she was on a dead chick and two cheeping eggs. So I put the two in the incubator. Then the power went out.

I came home from picking up the littles and there's a very cold, fully hatched chick! The power is back on, so we'll see how the other goes.

It's just the beginning

Oh I've raised chicks, these are from my backyard flock, and I have 3 month old pulletts I raised. But I've never incubated or hatched them before, that to me is harder than raising chicks or chickens, and alot more stressful lol

Belive me that if a chicken succeed to hatch you can too!

It's 1:55 at your house. What's keeping your eyes open?

I had an emergency work on my kitchen sewerage. DW have found all the kitchen sink full with water, so I started in the sink no problem there, in the control box outside no problem there, so the only conclusion is the sewerage! :sick
So we worked for 2 ouers she only hold me the light and I did all the EASY job :lau a fair division off the work! :gig
So now I am clean and have a nice smell, but can't sleep! So I am resting before going to bed.

Does not sound like a fun evening!

Thanks! It's looking good so far. Cochin mix. The other is still peeping vigorously and being outside in the rain until today shouldn't be shrink wrapped. I have the humidity super high in the bator on accident, but it's probably still lower than it's been the past five days.

Not at all! But a " man got to do what a man got to do!" If I was calling a plumber in this ouer it would
Cost me at least 250$! SO I think that 250$ for 2 ouers work is a good payment!

Last chick made it out, I'm shutting down and throwing out the bator! Thank you all for being here for me and helping me, and your encouragement. I wouldn't of made it without yall, I'm so happy with my 6 healthy happy chicks!
