Nice looking flock! I'm sure you will be pleased with them. Are you planning to incubate any of their eggs?

Hi everyone. I have a question about one of my incubators. It's a hovabator still air. I got it brand new and brought it home and turned it on for a dry run. I cannot get the temp to stay the same. It's either too hot or to cold it does not matter how little or how much I adjust the thermostat knob. It sucks. Does anyone have experience with this? I'm going to put a fan in to circulate the air to see if that helps. Do you think I have a defective incubator?

no

Thoughts for worming a multi aged flock. We found round worms when butchering a couple of our Bielefelder roosters, if they have them, I'm sure the whole flock does.
I have Pig Swig (Piperazine(Wazine) which is a liquid added to water, or I have Rooster Booster multi-wormer triple action (Hygromycin B in a feed concentrate and vitamin supplement) which you add to feed.
Which products have you used and had success with?
I've used rooster booster and have had great results with it.

I have not had any experience with hovabators, but try adding a heat sink to see if it helps it even out. You're the one with duckies in the other bator, right? Welcome to the thread, and good luck! :fl

Quote: I wonder if Canada Geese could be used the same way. I could show researchers a seemingly endless supply of the filthy pests! You think ducks are bad? Ducks aren't even in the same league!
They have so many ponds & food sources here in crop fields that they stay here year around. Not all, but the vast majority does, anyway. They make such a mess at the local park that the town hired a guy with a dog, a kayak, and a remote-control toy boat to run them off. If the birds are on shore he sends the dog to chase them off. If they're on the water, he sends the boat in to run them off. If that fails, he gets the kayak out and heads into them. The whole idea, of course, is to harass the geese so much that they go somewhere quieter.

Search "Tree House Masters" on the programming guide of your cable or satellite system
I saw that program he have don some AMAZING jobs! Although he seems to me somewhat childish. ....
He does get carried away; I think because he's so passionate about what he does.
