I almost forgot! Thank you!

Nice looking flock! I'm sure you will be pleased with them. Are you planning to incubate any of their eggs?
I measured the coop and I don't think I'll have room for Doms til next spring, when the ducks get a new coop.

But, yes, when and if I get them, I will incubate the eggs!

I'm going to take a tally what kind of fish do you think I should get
Personally, I really like bloodfin tetras. I've had mine for a little while now, and they seem to be pretty hardy fish. That could be just because the water I have suits them, but I dunno.

Our new addition, Coco. Our first duckling. She's doing good keeping Mira company

Awww

I'm always amazed how freaked out people are by the "diseases" that poultry carries... yet will let their dog and cat sit on their furniture and lick them after licking their butts. :hmm

Are you guys constantly worried/obsessed with getting diseases from your birds?

I'm of the "wash your hands well and not stress about it." variety of person.
No, I never worry about getting sick from them. I don't eat eggs that get stained and smelly from droppings (the kind that stink after you wash them

), and I wash my hands if I think they're dirty. If I was really worried about getting sick from chickens, I would keep some other kind of animal instead.

Saw some talk of doms... All 6 of my dom chicks turned out to be roosters.

Whoa! They're pretty, anyways!

Anyone want almost two doz ancona eggs to try to hatch? Sara is taking the flock of ancona and a bunch of other things from here to help ease my load over winter. Someday I will get my desired ducks and raise them God willing.

Be good, Bubbles.... Just log off now, while you still can....
