About 40 years ago, a girlfriend bought me a 12" Craftsman radial arm saw for Christmas, which I bought all kinds of attachments for. It was an awesome tool.
Her dad told me he'd give his left n+t for it but for his money, he'd rather have a table saw.
I no longer have the radial arm saw. My saws now include a table saw, a power miter saw, a circular saw, a couple reciprocal saws and a scrolling jig saw and various hand saws.

I saw that...no problem. This job's had me confused from go. I'm just trying to make whatever progress I can alone, not being sure of when, or even if, my BIL will be available in the near future...he may be looking at a prostate operation; not sure yet.

Parts of the job become very clear as you progress through them.
I built a hexagon complex of breeding pens and was proud of my completed project. However, looking back on it, I have no idea how I did it. The doors continue to amaze me with the angles I made - considering the whole complex is a hex.

OK back to the roof. A simple table saw can be made with an 8 foot straight 2/4 and some screws. Make several marks on the plywood 1 3/8 inches shy of 24 inches. (or what the distance is for the narrow side of your circular saw) . If you have chalk box use it to mark, screw the 2/4 to the line. Using the narrow side of the saw cut with the 2/4 as a guide on the 2 foot side. This should give you a very straight cut 2 feet wide.

Prostrate surgery no fun.
