I got two broad breasted white poults Monday, broody didn't take them, they are huge.   They are in a brooder now.

I was thinking she wouldn't like the size of them. They grow so fast.

Sad day today. I woke up to find my favorite mottled frizzled Serama hen laying without a head or neck. She was a little disabled, but all the other birds could probably get away faster. I have been asking my dad to fix the holes in the coop because I was worried this would happen. All the chickens will be in the garage until I get a chance to fix the coop.

I was just watching Bizarre Foods America. In this episode Andrew Zimmerman came to St. Louis to try local cuisine.
He tried brain sandwiches, crispy pig snouts, pig heart pastrami, a dessert made with organ meat and caramel, Bosnian food and went Spoonbill fishing and he fried up some of the meat and roe. We have the largest settlement of Bosnians in South St. Louis living anywhere outside of Bosnia. They started arriving in the early 90s and have brought some wonderful food with them. Lots of them now have their own smokehouses in the city where they smoke beef and lamb in wood fired smokers where they also bake bread.
He visited several of the restaurants I've been to but one that I have to try next was Grbic
