That is what I pay for purebred. Not mutts.
When you buy turkey's off season though, you pretty much figure you'll pay a couple bucks more when they aren't laying/hatching.

The hatcherines online aren't even selling them until next spring when the turkeys start laying again. I'd rather pay a dollar or two more now, then wait 6-8 months. ;o I'm not a patient person. LOL

Thank you @Chaos18 & @MotorcycleChick

Where are you at in Oz?

Thank you!!

Well it's 5:27am now, and I woke up and couldn't go back to sleep, so I rushed outside to check on them annnd!

I think I'll call it Eureka!!

3 others have pipped now, and with Eureka peeping away it's helping cheer them on.

The biggest egg hasn't pipped yet, but I'm not to worried because it's only the 22nd day and it just may need a little more time. It was my favourite when candling so I hope that it's still as good as when I went into lockdown.
that's a great name for your first bird! LOL

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!

I'm all hot and sweaty. It's like 90+ out and 40% humidity. It's killing me. My clothes feel like a second layer of skin. I'm out there trying to hang chicken wire on our second juvie coop. I just need to give them a few weeks to mature, and move them with my adult birds.
at least the humidity is low
