Sad day today. I woke up to find my favorite mottled frizzled Serama hen laying without a head or neck. She was a little disabled, but all the other birds could probably get away faster. I have been asking my dad to fix the holes in the coop because I was worried this would happen. All the chickens will be in the garage until I get a chance to fix the coop.

Is it chill if a hatched chick rolls one that is pipping onto its pipping hole?

Cuz this little Dino of a baby rolled the one next to it on to its exit point.
its chill!!! that chick is getting them others in an uproar trying to get them hatched too!!! Good Luck!!

I hate standing in line, for anything. Besides, I worked in a restaurant in h.s. and later, as an adult, for two different pizza houses, one of them Domino's; I know what goes on behind the kitchen door, so restaurants hold no particular attraction for me.
I hate lines too but if there's only so much of the best available, people do it. I've only been there a couple times. My son took me the first time.
Behind the scene at some places may not be a pretty picture for sure.
That's a shame when it happens.
Most of these places kitchens are in open view to the dining room.
No monkey business going on when the customers are watching you cook.
Between myself, wife, daughter and son, we've probably worked at 50 restaurants and I've never seen, nor heard from them, about anything nefarious going on. My wife was a general manager of 3 restaurants and my son a KM at a couple. They wouldn't stand for any shenanigans.
Their careers are on the line as is the success of the restaurants in such a competitive environment.

Awesome, awesome. I've read that they can push the eggs around but when it rolled ~onto~ the egg I was :O

Humidity is okay, so fingers crossed in a few hours that one will have popped out.

Thanks

My best advice for incubating is to mark your calendar, get another hobby and pull them out on hatch day or the next.

My daughter found herself another praying mantis and collected it, and has also collected this :

Dad finished the coop. I put all the chicken wire in the inside, but he did the roof for me.

It's just temporary housing until they are big enough to go in with our adult flock, so we weren't trying to do anything too fancy. It's also against the fence where our adult flock lives, so they can get to know each other before moving them over.

Action shot. LOL
