I'm starting to wonder if BYC uses a random system to pick POW winners.... I keep getting some sub-par pics of mine chosen, and I can't figger it out.

I am new here and I don't know if I am posting in the right place. I have a question. I am hatching today and he one out. I have 2 incubators and was going to put chicks in one once they hatch so not to disturb the ones still inside shell. When putting a chick in the incubator I noticed a smell of pinesol. Not strong but I can smell it. Is this safe or should I put the chick back with the other eggs that are not hatched?

You are hatching?! What size was your shell? Better yet, what size was the bird? Are you a dinosaur?
I don't know for sure, but a slight smell might be overpowering. Since humidity isn't going to be a problem, you can just rinse the other incubator again. Don't forget that the hatcher should not be opened often. Chicks kicking its siblings around encourages the others to hatch.

Hummmm ur only like 12 maybe 14 hours from me... Let's see I have 4 kids which means 2 to spare lol want them?

It's kinda cold out make sure you use a heat pad or something, do you except returns in case of malfunction?
