Off to the post office. I'll be back with the eggs shortly. I put the water bottles in to heat up. They weren't cold, but not quite 100 degree's either.

It was reading 97 in there again. Ugh. My husband and I keep having this yoyo of too hot,too cold... so I turned it up a little bit, and we'll see if the water bottles help keep it stable, it's about 40% humidity in there.

They are ten ply. Walmart carries lots if you shop online. I ordered in four Dick Cepek trail country tires. I know nothing about them, but they were the best looking tred wise of the all terrain tires I could sort of afford. They have a 60,000 mile warranty. My tires dry rot on my farm truck before I use the mileage.

Morning everyone.

Broody ended up with 6 chicks. Very protective of them I might add. Going into feed and water and she went for me flying up and hit my hands. Didn't draw blood but sure surprised me. Will be more attentive of that this am. In the mayhem of her trying to get me one of the chicks went under the nesting buckets causing her to fling dust and chicks every where while trying to get the chick out. Here they are

my friend had the dick cepek on his f350, they held up very well

This form is very hard to keep up with.. I just want to thank everyone for all your help and to helping to show me where all the different information is on incubating.

I ended up having to pull the eggs from my broody as she decided that even though she was going to sit on the eggs she was not going to have any more chicks than the first 4 that hatched. She started to kill them after they hatched. I was able to save 1 chick and 10 eggs. It was great timing as my 6 that were already in the incubator were going into lock down. Follow all your instructions I have 3 chicks that have hatched as of this morning. All eggs should be done hatching by Sunday.

i just set 7 in incubator last night my first batch
