This is crazy I am trying to sell some cutlery from book to raise money for our youth group trip to Alabama and I went to eleven different houses and not one person answered

And if they do do you expect them to buy some when they do open the door? Thinking cutlery is something everyone has. COOKIES on the other hand people can ALWAYS use!!

Or thinking about it toilet paper may be even better as EVERYONE will always NEED that..

Just sayin......

Or COFFEE!!!!

This stupid chickens can drive me crazy, they have enough laying boxes but they always fight and make mess trying to reach one specific box. Decided to make 2 new box from tiers Made 2 of them
They look heavy, but sturdy too! To clean them though, how do you access it, just from the entrance?
They are out boxes so they are water proof and hevy, they will be filled with pine shavings and will be cleaned from the entrance.

Yum!

Interesting idea

For those who trim vents of their breeds, for easier breeding, got any pictures of how you do it?

I trim my polish birds head fluff so they can see, I just use scissors and watch for any feathers that may have blood in them

Oh my, those are super adorable!

Are you weighing them for a certain reason? Are you weighing incubated hatchlings or broody hatchlings?

I had weighed the eggs that were set under my broody at the time of set, I was planning on weighing them 1 week later, doesn't it show the development of the embryo if you weigh them? The weight decreases, right?

It checks that the air cells are growing, losing moisture so yes weight would be down

I was hoping to avoid it, but with the silkies, for maximum fertility, I'm considering it.

Very easy

NH is a good place to be from; far away from in the colder months :p
lol agreed

So went to coop to feed chicks one was dead. Ah man bummer I thought now back to six. As I watched the hen bring them out there were still 7 which means 8 actually hatched out of 9-10 eggs. Not bad hatch.

Here's the crew finally able to catch them all out.

Here they are staying out of hens way. They have learned when momma scratches to stay out of the way. She used to fling them out the back as she's doing the dust here. Which is why I thought the one died.
