It was in an auto turner but it probably was too big for it. Ugh. Thanks for your help again.

combo I think, again the turning n the eggs size, I can tell you what happens to them, at candle around the top you will start to see blood like bubble spots just below the air cell and then in a day they are dead. At least this is what I noticed with all the large empty spaces at the bottom. I had other images and a video candle but I lost my search page on the diary thread when the computer and thread got wacked.

Bass lake a few miles down the road. Is loaded with crappie. But this other lake is easier to fish for a young kid who's never fished before.

It's very rewarding to teach kids new things, isn't it Phil? The smile(s) that light up their faces when they get it right never grows old! Not tooting my own horn, but I got to see a lot of those smiles in my 13 years as scoutmaster for the local troop. Some of the best years of my life was spent watching boys grow up into fine young adults. Watching them succeed in life was the greatest reward...

It's still been super helpful. I haven't seen any bubbles. I will just keep it where I can grab it if I see a pip to make sure it can breathe.

If you've not fished almost exclusively for Papermouths like I have for years, you'd be surprised to see the action you can get with a crappie jig & tube under a bobber, for crappie & 'gills both, with the occasional bass thrown in for good measure.

Here is the membrane from freshly hatched White Faced Spanish




see how the membrane has the veins in it outer near shell ??

they are not that big in this photo, but you get the idea, you just have tons of tiny veining in those eggs, and you can easily see they have no more blood it they do its been dried inside.
