Yup it sure is....I've always tried to take kids from around here out. So many don't have dad's or they don't fish.
Yeah...this summer we hammered crappie....good eats too!
They tend to remember the good things you do for them, too. You'll often end up with a friend, or friends, for life.

You know what's sad? I love crappie, and I have a 3 acre pond on the back side of my place that I stocked with crappie... and I never go fishing. I let other people fish it to keep the population down, and they say there are some nice crappie in my pond. Hmm... I may have to wet a hook in the spring.

EXAMPLE of why I tell everyone if they have a malposition (pipped wrong end)
its chirping and getting air LET THEM ALONE just note the time and keep an eye on them!
These are usually the first pips you can see, because they are both the internal and external pips.

I don't know that I can be in this thread anymore. Every time I sign in, I have nothing much on my mind. The very first post changes that. The next makes it worse. I need another cold shower.

Why wait for Spring? If I lived where you do, I'd be out there 7 days a week & twice on Sunday, 'specially if it never froze over. Don't believe I'd trust Mississippi ice to hold me, though.
