I'm too afraid they'll come a knockin and i'll ask em what the h*** makes em think they have a right to be on MY property.

Thats sad someone abandoned it because it didnt lay(as a rooster!) most likely
It's a silkie anyway
Who gets a silkie for egg production anyway

Locally, LocalYokel can only get fullsize/nonbanty eggs.
Like RIR,
Or brown/white leghorns, I don't hink the leghorns are too fertile.
Like one HUGE old leghorn rooster with like 20 hens, and there are two GIANT Aracauna in there too.

I don't know for sure.
I DE the coops nestbox and roost at least once a week.
I have been smothering the legs.
That's why i'm thinking mix, along with the 50+ chickens running around the neighborhood.

Also, her sister(I think, beacuse they were grouped) has Partial feathering.

The other 3 RSL in there have perfect legs.

Ivermectin injectable is my choice for externals see below, I am OCD with my gang never want to deal with them so we are on a tough preventative schedule.

Do 2 applications 4-6 weeks apart.

( Ivermectin 1%) liquid cattle wormer, brand name Eprinex is most often found. Chemical class is Ivermectin.

1.) 1/2 cc of the liquid topically on the skin for an adult chicken.
2.) 1/4 cc bantam
3.) 1 cc. for adult geese, put it between their wings.

when dosing think of it like applying frontline on a dog

A great read on PARASITES with dosages etc!

Ivermectin pour on is ineffective against cecal and capillary worms and large roundworms are showing resistance in chickens. The reason is because more people use ivomec products as a miteacide rather than its primary purpose as a wormer in chickens. Worms have built resistance to ivomec products in chickens because of this, including eprinex. Ivomec products are still effective against mites in chickens.
