Does anyone have any good plans/tips/ideas for a good "homemade" incubator?

I made a real quick one using a cooler, space heater (300w), STC-1000 (online) and a desk fan. I just let the wires go under the lid and shut tightly. No drilling required and I can use my cooler as a cooler later on!

now 15 are out

Sally, you mean to tell us that you didn't put a timer in for that chick to start zipping? For it to go off at the time you were due back? Well then, it's all your fault that you got that cute little baby when not expected. Kitchen timer..the best.

Do a thread search, and then make your own hybrid based on all of the ideas and materials you can scrounge up. Mini dorm refrigerators. Free styro boxes from pharmacies and pet shops, sea food places (maybe). Old cooler, new cooler, even cardboard boxes insulated with newspaper, glass from old photo frames, computer fan with 12 V phone charger, 2 light bulbs with sockets and wiring, STC1000 thermostat. Duct tape and caulking. Check out You tube videos by Rush Lane Poultry.

Holy crap my house just shook! Scared the crap out of my spouse and I! Are there earthquakes in kansas?!?!?!
Apparently so!
