I have a sweet little dachshund...I can't get pics to embed for some reason. His name is Seven. He is my little buddy and yes never thought I would have a small dog. But as we got older they are so much easier to throw in the car and go.
We had another one last year but he got killed in a car accident...he was only four months old...still miss him something fierce. I took losing him hard...not manly but cried for days.

I did the same thing as a kid over a little female mutt that camped under Dad's desk @ work. Found her under the house one Sunday morning...poisoned.

Oh my goodness Sally those babies are beautiful. Wish I could have one. We have hunting hounds. 5 currently. We might breed our top female to keep and train one her pups.

Good afternoon people. So we are finally only a couple days away from our first hatch. My question is whether to let the hen raise the chicks with the rest of our flock, or put the hen and chicks inside and raised away from the flock?

Personally, I'd let momma raise them in the run with the older birds, but fenced off where the adults can see them & get used to them, but not attack them. That should eliminate integration problems later. That's just my opinion; others may see it differently. Let's see what Sally's take is.
