Oh no, but thank you!!! The story is... I was "supposed" to be a boy- or at least my mother was convinced of it. There was no girl name chosen. I was technically named after the anesthesiologist's wife, Rochelle (and yes, Jewish), who went by Shelly... They slapped my dad's name "Lee" on the end to insure a lifetime of never easily finding anything personalized! Sadly, my beloved dad passed away suddenly this past September- the day we got this "dream house" of ours on .65 acres (a HUGE lot in Southern Cal!)... I needed a distraction, had been merely thinking of ONE day having chickens and ruh roh Raggy...here I am.

They are therapy for sure and I always need a challenge. I feel like I'm up against a formidable opponent with this hatching thing! Super overwhelmed...which I think is why, @Sally Sunshine[/@], I merely lurked and researched through the HAL. My head was spinning!!!

Too cold to do too much.
Should have gone fishing.
Too late now.
My ducks seem to tolerate the cold well I've not let them out of their pen for last two days though.
It seems to stay about 20 degrees in there.
Can't wait for Friday...Traverse City bound!!!!

We like them. The ones we have been around are RIR rooster over BR hens. I would like to try the buff orpington rooster in the future.
