As always thanks Sally. If the eggs will roll to how they need to be what is the point in marking probable pip area? I'm not sure how touchy thermostat is as I haven't had to adjust it so I will not be monkeying with it. As far as water dishes go I have a plastic tray under the wire floor that has water channels in it that chicks can't access. Will try and find something to put on top of the wire floor though.

so if their is fluid in them probable pip up CAN prevent drowing, also you can see who is pipped and time them accordingly. add a sponge in a little flat dish will work if you need it

Makes sense. Another question is this. I have the one BCM with a saddle cell that you've said should be kept upright for best chance at hatching. Any suggestions on how to keep it upright? I know it has developement but I'm not sure if it quit or not. I saw movement in the other 14 eggs when I candled on day 14 but not this one although it's dark.

But, honestly, the digital stuff is pretty easy.   Pressing buttons once the battery is in will go from screen to screen to screen and usually with a little Rh or temp symbol to tell you where you are.

Looks like he bought a model that reads in Celsius instead of Fahrenheit too from the pic..uh oh!

CH- did you want one that reads Celsius???
