They were at first, I was running at 100 and Sally told me to bump it up cause I have a still air so I did, dropped it back at lockdown, I've calibrated the thermometer and it was 8 degrees off (the one that comes with the bator) but I've hatched on time and early using that one before I knew I had to calibrate it.....so I'm thinking I messed up somewhere lol I'm gonna leave them in there for a few more days just to be sure but I don't have high expectations for my Silkie babies at this point....they were rockin yesterday though so I'll wait it out....

Thanks everyone for your support through my hatch. My hatch came to an end last night about 2:45 in the morning. I came out to check on the baby who had pipped a big hole but wasn't making progress and found it didn't make it :-( DIS. I opened it up and the yolk was still unabsorbed- about quarter size in diameter was visible. Hard to see them get so close and not make it :-(
I pulled the remaining day 22 Marans egg and my ee egg to candle. EE no signs of life or movement. Feet visible by air cell. Not sure why it quit.
The other Marans egg- no internal pip no movement or signs of life. It's still in the bator, I need to float test it but it doesn't look good.

So- a little disappointed but I do have these 3 little sweeties 2 Marans and 1 mutt lol.

They're in their temporary brooder til the weather improves on Wednesday, then I'll move them to the brooder in the coop. I'll try to get some good pics today

And, no, no new photos of my babies. My next hatch has a number of different breeds in it. Due around Dec. 1st. And, I have a few of the same little mix in there that are due around the 3rd...and the 5th..did I say I don't do staggered hatches? lol..I really don't usually, but, couldn't pass up a friends SG's eggs. She started laying again, dad is a white paint. He had some pretty dang cute babies hatch with these two before. Little white babies with spots. The SG's had quite the bow tie, just how I like em.

I should get a photo of one of the frizzles I hatched out for the Halloween Hatch. Will try later. It's only 5:30 here. I got up to let our Shcnoodle out to go potty around 4:30..had to get on and check and see if CH had any hatch yet. lol...that kid had us all waiting. So happy for him. Bet he has some questions for you this morning..like, how long should I keep them in, unless he has already taken some out.
I'm going back to bed for a while.

Yeah, that's what I said! Lol I'm not sure what day it was on to be honest, somewhere between 7-10 I believe.....i didn't do pencil marks, bad me! I know when I candled on day 17 for lockdown they were wonky....pretty sure the 3 that were wiggling had saddle cells but I haven't checked since then....
