This is what the spent grain looks like. I picked up more today. The grain is sprouted then stopped just as the root emerges. Roasted to different degrees for flavor. Ground a little and then warm water is passed through it to collect the sugars leaving the proteins. Not only do the chickens love it but it makes great bread as well.

Just got home and I found 1 egg left under broody No sign of any chicks Maybe she ate them? She won't let any hen near her box Also a dead quail Yay
