Wet and chilly but, not frosty here, I can live with liquid falling from the sky.

California.... Yes, lots of fruits n nuts, but tend to hang in clumps in SF and LA. Other than that...remember, it's a very large state. Lots of agriculture and ranch land still...although that's getting tougher to keep.
Yea I know, I was actually born in mountains of northern California

Morning. Kinda frosty here.

Who here is building a cooler bator? And if so who would be interested in buying a custom 3D printed turning rack for it? What would you be willing to pay for it? My FIL has a 3D printer and is curious if there is interest in that kind of thing?
Give me a couple minutes to try and find out who's building bators but thats an awesome idea.

@Sally Sunshine I answer back and you run.

It's pretty sensitive to being moved around in the cooler. So the trick was to leave it alone and it will do it's job. I didn't figure it out until I brought the whole thing down stairs and sat it on the desk to babysit it. It kept perfect temps once I had it all put back together for 2 days. Well I woke up this morning and the temp was a bit low again. Well, my sensor fell to the floor of the cooler. I had it taped to the side, once I taped it back into place the temp went right back to normal. So I drilled a hole in the back and pulled the sensor through. Temps are good!

My mottled naked neck hatching eggs were supposed to arrive today, but instead they seem to have taken the extended long tour around town.

It aint too unusual, I had a BSL go broody for almost 3 months before I kicked her out.

Don't laugh; one of mine spent most of last summer on the nest

I have my first 2 naked neck chicks - looked just like these when hatched. Their temperament is very different - mine act just like guinea keets and increase the anxiety of the other chicks in the brooder. They run to the corner and start a trampling fit when the brooder is opened and they chirp bloody murder if picked up and won't calm down. They are almost fully feathered now - should be interesting to see how they react when released from the brooder
