Does anyone know where I can by leg bands to put on my chicks/chickens? I want them so that I can keep track of who came from who or who came from what colored egg.
I recommend these:

They've worked great, they do fall off sometimes but it's like one in 15 will fall off but honestly that's not a bad record especially when they're running around doing who knows what.

@chicken hawk 33 - Not sure if you got an answer about the eggs. I don't know about Silkie vs. Serama (but I think both are small). But Turken (aka Naked Neck) eggs are just like normal chicken eggs, size-wise. Hope that helps.

Edit to add: Answered while I was posting. I can't keep up!!!

So guess who is reading Ms. Sally's instructions on building a coolerbator. Not this girl because I have prepared by reading them prior to tonight's build. But apparently my husband did not do his homework.

I have two people in Pennsylvania that are "dying" to get rid of some Pekin ducks because they're overrun. But they are not on this site often enough to tell me when they want to get the deal done.
So now I am looking for hatching eggs. If I am going to have them shipped, I would rather have it from an actual Hatchery. Hopefully, they know how to pack them properly. However, I've checked some sites. eBay has some reasonable price, however they don't guarantee the eggs at all. If they are broken or infertile you're out of luck.

Watch the reviews on the eBay sellers. Don't be in a hurry with the ones from eBay. I shopped the guy I got my eggs from for 6 months. Watch their turn over. If they have eggs out for weeks be wary. Also sometimes when they don't sell their eggs right off they will run a special to move them which means you are getting already old eggs. If they don't want to talk chicken or duck with you they are not worth your money. Some will guarantee fertile eggs if all are blanks but you have to pay shipping. And then there's USPS to worry about. There's many good people selling eggs on eBay you just have to shop them.

I roll the eggs. The air pocket will be on top.
Ronott taught me that.

that is from Pete55 incubation guide....
air cells always roll up, gravity is a no brainer, however I dont have a table to test roll them as coolerbators sit on the floor and the floor is unsanitary...... its easier for me to untwist the light bulbs in a bator hold the candler there and put an slash and x over the pip area and not lift them or do anything else with them.....

Good evening UR
I love the screwed up menus. Please press 1 for sales... please press 2 for service... please press 3 for technical support. Pressing 3 announces that that all sales representatives are busy assisting other callers, and your call will be answered as soon as the next representative is available. Currently you are caller 15. Anticipated wait time is 30 minutes... and I didn't even ask for sales! GRRRR!!!!!

Good evening, Pen!!!
