Hi everyone. I ended up with 4 chicks. . 3 barred rocks and 1 delaware. So I guess I need to order more delaware eggs.. since I can't breed with 1..lol.. hope all is well

Two of these are doing great but I'm having a hard time candling the darkest one. Any ideas?

I'd love to see candling pictures of the 2. Lol

It's really easy...

Pick the breeds you want, then buy those chicks...buy your turkey poults...grow them out and use them to make more.  Chicken math at its best!

That's the plan! I had chicks in April...then the fox decided he wanted them more...lost 19 birds....did some revamping to the coop and got 18 more....feel like I've had chicks forever now and no eggs....I was trying to hatch silkies because of their broodiness so I wouldn't really need to incubate but my shipped eggs adventure did not go well....

I'm hoping by the time he realizes what he's done I'll have already made at least one good trip to the hatchery....which is about an hour away....probably not the best idea for him to agree but he did lol and cackle has many many birds lol
