As long as it doesn't have spraddle leg, I wouldn't worry about it this early. It may have them wide trying to keep it's balance... which it seems to be having a little trouble with at the moment. Give it some time to build up balance and strength, and it should be okay.I have one that keeps flipping on its back...legs seem a little wide but only like 3 hrs old...worry or no?
If the ointment doesn't work, you may have to isolate it from the others until it heals. Red is to chicks what honey is to a bear. A simple divider in the brooder will suffice.Ok my chick has a red dot sticking out of its back about the tail area...?!? Other chicks are pecking at it![]()
