Ok my chick has a red dot sticking out of its back about the tail area...?!? Other chicks are pecking at it

Do you have any Neosporin? Gob some of that on it, they won't like that at all. That's what I do.

I have one that keeps flipping on its back...legs seem a little wide but only like 3 hrs old...worry or no?

As long as it doesn't have spraddle leg, I wouldn't worry about it this early. It may have them wide trying to keep it's balance... which it seems to be having a little trouble with at the moment. Give it some time to build up balance and strength, and it should be okay.

If the ointment doesn't work, you may have to isolate it from the others until it heals. Red is to chicks what honey is to a bear. A simple divider in the brooder will suffice.

Chickie booties. I use electical tape. People say..what?!? But it works great. I round the corners.
