Does anyone have any experience with Amdirect Incubators, are they any good? I've seen decent reviews on Amazon. Just looking for a cheaper one to try and hatch eggs for the first time.

Good morning y'all. My Janoel8-48 temperature keeps spiking up to 102+. It's the older model one. My new model one holds temperature great. Does anyone have any ideas of why it keeps spiking and how to fix it? The lid doesn't lay perfectly flat, but I have it taped down, and I would think that would cause it to drop, not spike.

Nevermind it's not as bad as I thought it was. The temperature isn't holding perfectly steady, but it's not going that high. The thermometer I had inside was off.

They are all napping. I was going to ask you, would a Isa Brown and Cream Legbar create any auto sexing chicks?

No, they will not. You can't make regular sexlinks either. Chicks that are sexable at hatch take a particular genetic makeup, it's not a single gene that gets passed along to the offspring, more like a recipe for making a cake, where you have to get the ingredients all correct for it to turn out like you expect.

If you have Cream Legbar pullets, you can make black sexlinks with a black male. For example, a black australorp roo would give you green egg laying black sexlinks.

can you post them cheap on CL ? some people sell them to snake breeders and pet stores... not sure if you would do that but its option and they need to eat too

No hits on CL or local thread. I got a guy that I connected with last year coming for them.
I am the only one in this house that will eat them and I have others a month old.
