Tucker wasn't real happy with me tonight.
I closed both doors of the coop, leaving him no access to the small 4x4 "run" on one side. It's all boxed in, so it's pretty secure, but I discovered this evening that if I pushed hard enough I could push the hinged end/door in. If something like a coyote (which I've never seen here) put his weight behind it he could possibly push it in & gain access, so I eliminated the possibility. Tucker raised a little cane being closed in, but he got over it pretty quick. Tomorrow, in daylight, I'll rig stop blocks on the inside so the end/door can't be pushed in...end of problem.

Lol, I told you he doesn't like to be penned up! He'd be happy if he knew it was for his own protection. Have you had a chance to spend some time with him today and bribe him with corn? He'll love you forever lol

Yes & no

I was talking to him while I was working on the door, and several times throughout the day, but I didn't offer him any corn. I've got most of a 50# bag of shelled corn in the deer blind; he'll get all of it he wants tomorrow.

One leghorn was a blood ring and 4 Olive eggers were clears. Two go into lockdown on Monday and 13 go into lockdown next Sunday.

Well I wont be setting quail eggs for the Easter hatch along, I will be hatching them sooner I ordered 40 jumbo coutournix Texas A&M should be here On monday or Tuesday
