I'd say Wellsummer, but the only Marans I have any experience with is my FBCM girl, Jewel. She lays a nice dark egg.

I have a Chantecler that lays a white egg. I named her Oddity because of it. I think it's possible it's because of an injury as a chick or something similar since it isn't genetic and none of her offspring have lain white eggs.

sweet I have a legbar roo over all the layers... should end up with some cool egg layers from the coop with all the dif hens I have in it.
 
Im excited i just candled some eggs i placed on the 30th and one was my little la fleurs egg and its fertile im shocked idk if its ichabods but it would be amazing if it was , out of the 13 eggs i set only one looks like a no go but ill let it stay in there a bit longer to see what happens
 
this is the can cut out I was talking about for the coolers to keep lights higher but protect the lid post #50
