My dad had a base station, with one of those tower antennas (of course we got in trouble as kids for being on the roof). I can remember the neighbors calling at night to tell him to get off that thing until their TV show was over

So I never had a CB, but I did have a tow truck driver for a roommate in the 80's, then had a cop boyfriend in the 90's. Did many ride-alongs with both.
