So, my SIL set 50 eggs yesterday. I'm jealous. My 15 eggs are happy. I think. I'm still fiddling with the temperature a little. I'm only opening the bator once a day and today's ration is done. Hens get off the nest so I wanted to mimic that and add some water. I can't wait til the 10th!
@sallysunshine The turner works well. We'll see how my hatch rate goes.

Temp holdin beautifully at 101, depending on time of day it might briefly read 102 or 100 but it goes back quite fast without me doing anything. Never over 102, never under 100.

I quit coffee cold turkey a couple years ago during a spell when I had a relentless cough and decided to make some healthy changes.
I only drink green or white tea now, sometimes with jasmine, ginseng or goji and always with a squeeze of lime.

I guess you already know this but some may not. Most incubator thermostats supply power to heat element in either an on or off state. Hence the rapid rise and more gentle fall. Then one has to consider how quickly their thermometers measure. Instant read thermometers will pick up those periods yet internal egg temperature will be at the low end of the range.

I read your post about liking to medicate. I know everyone has different management techniques and perhaps more importantly, different climates. But I don't get why you LIKE to medicate. I like not needing to medicate.
