Cracked 3 of the 4 quail eggs that were cracked. Are these fertile? Sorry about the bad focus and glare off the flashlight, my phone is refusing to cooperate. I think 1 & 3 are fertile, but 2 isn't. Am I right?

I think they are not fertile, but can't say for sure. See the small white spot? If it is fertile, the white spot will be encircled by another ring. It will look like a bullseye. The spot will be there, but its the outside ring around it that says its fertile. A flashlight helps when looking at them too.

WV, the white spot would be a tiny pinpoint if it wasn't fertile... ;)

I hate this Little Giant incubator I just had another temperature spike of 110

With those, and I happen to love them...

you just tweak it a tiny tiny bit to change the temp. Barely feel that sucker (knob) move and it's good.

My apologies for giving misinformation. This was a pic I had saved a while back, and was my reason for my comment.

That's what I've seen too. It's really hard to tell on these, because it LOOKS like a ring is forming, but it's not a perfect bullseye like in the picture.

One has hatched

and I'm hearing a peep from one. Total of ten went into lock down and all have horrible air cells.

No need to  :plbb

It's ok if it's not perfect, each egg is different so each bullseye might be too... as long as it is bigger than a pinpoint/pen tip, and looks "halo'd" then it is fertile... :)
