I just do not understand

?? No pips in over 15 hours. 16 have hatched and 14 with no signs. Could I be that unlucky? I have done everything by the book except sit on them myself! Tomorrow is day 23. What is going on. During lockdown candled and only 2 we're questionable.

I have had a few bad hatches -- things seem to go bad after lockdown.  I didn't realize there was a removable vent plug and thought that may have something to do with it.   I'm in the middle of a hatch now... no chicks yet - less than 1/2 the eggs are pipped... I took the vent plug out this time and we shall see if there is better luck

They do need maximum oxygen supply for the enrgy needed for hatching ! So it could be it!

I took the vent plug out at lockdown. Humidity has been steadily between 65-70%. Motorcycle chick said she does a tap test. But still may be too early for that.

Were you only looking at the top pic? Looks like same eggs, but shuffled around a bit in the lower 2 pics. Benny, am I correct here???? I was only looking at the top pic.

Thanks sally , yea of course , lol im just waiting a bit before putting more in , i have the others in the incubator now that most will get moved over to lockdown Friday, but i have a sigle one in lockdown now i candled him last night to check on him he was moving good now its just waiting and hoping

Today was productive! Rained though, I hope it didn't flood the run again.

Tomorrow is another HUGE day for us, so i may not be on often.
