I just do not understand

?? No pips in over 15 hours. 16 have hatched and 14 with no signs. Could I be that unlucky? I have done everything by the book except sit on them myself! Tomorrow is day 23. What is going on. During lockdown candled and only 2 we're questionable.

I must have just left before you posted your question earlier, we woke up this morning to a nice, crisp - 33.
Not too bad when you factor in the wind chill yesterday it was -46.

Got a warm front moving in today, supposed to get up to the teens and twenties for the rest of the weekend! Pulling out the tee shirts and sunblock. e

This little girl pipped. The other two didn't. LOL! I think it's obvious the second didn't pip! The third was also a girl. I think that makes ten girls, and ten boys.

How many live ones did Duckling end up with?

I just picked this little guy up to take a picture, and noticed this. Does anyone know what the heck it is? It almost looks like an air bubble under the skin. I was going to sell it, but I can't if there's something wrong with it. Anyone have any ideas?

I love it here because it is home. I think most people are like that. However, I'll move to a better climate when I get the chance.
I've met elderly people living on small islands that had never been to either end of the island let alone off the island.

I saw onec a program that one farmer in Las vegas area is keeping a giant pig farm ( thousand of animals) solely on kitchen scraps from the hotels there!

I believe I read somewhere that the U.S. wastes enough food in a day to feed a small 3rd world country. That's shameful! 

Agree! I cant except throwing away good food! In ouer trudition it is a big no no, we call it - ״בל תשחית״

There are some restaurants now that keep chickens and feed them off the table scraps.

I have had a few bad hatches -- things seem to go bad after lockdown. I didn't realize there was a removable vent plug and thought that may have something to do with it. I'm in the middle of a hatch now... no chicks yet - less than 1/2 the eggs are pipped... I took the vent plug out this time and we shall see if there is better luck
