I just found my goose like this. This is where she normally lays, but she's almost lifeless. Is this normal for a goose when they're laying? I'm freaking out.

Lost the quote, but the laying banty hen is not the one with scaly leg mites. I have 3, only 1 has the mites..... Tried soaking her feet, didn't work and I ran outa time and just put her outside because having 4 chickens in the cellar was WAY too smelly and it is too cold to soak them outside.

Soaking with what?

Best technique is 2 parts kerosene to one part linseed oil.
1 part kerosene to 2 parts linseed oil.
Also coat the roosts with the same mix.
Then something like Ivermectin pour on.

She has her head up now, so maybe she's just laying. She hasn't let me pet her since the day I turned her loose to free range, and right now she's doesn't even flinch when I pet her.

Plain water, I was just trying to get the excess scales off at the time.

That's not the appropriate course of action if it is truly scaly leg mite. You need to kill the mites and water won't do that.
I didn't know there was such a thing as excess scales. They are sticking up because there are mites under them. They aren't excess.
