Marty - she is giving the youngsters the evil eye.

And @rural mouse you can see she has some gold neck feathers.

Mr P - sheesh I wish he would thump those ladies who pick at him!

Curly - had to look close to see if it was Betty - no wattles though!

Holly - little stinker gets under foot - trips me up. She’s moulting and coughing. Tylosin tonight for her.

Petra - also moulting so I put her about the same age as the Noirans. I help her with her topknot, removing the feather sheaths.

She’s looking good, and has some heft to her!

You need to candle the eggs to see if anyone has been sitting on them, and if anything is developing.

If you don’t see anything developing then no chicklets.

It’s difficult when they are out and about isn’t it? I live in fear of finding a Mrs LC nest with 1200 eggs in it!

My fear is a friend buying an egg, with a partially developed chick inside. I would certainly loose a customer, possibly even a friend!

I candled all those eggs, (the ones that had a shadowy look) I set apart and cracked open. No chick growing inside, so I scrambled them, and ate breakfast with them and sourdough bread.
