That is AWESOME!! I just ordered ANOTHER incubator, since I don't trust my last one we've started calling the "Death bator". But, i was not smart and bid on a couple of auctions and have a bunch of eggs coming my way. I think 1 last hatch in my oldest 'bator, before I get the new one set up and stable.Sleepless.....other wise okay...got a nice incubator....just needed to pick up a few things so I can monitor temp and humidity....and I should be able to hatch some birds come spring....

What kind of incubator did you get?
Less Star Wars, more I only successfully hatched 2 chicks out of 26 in it. That was just used as a lock down bator. The previous one i had, had closer to an 80% hatch rate. Gopro17 names it the deathbator since I killed so many chicks...Star wars reference? Paint it black!
It's a Brinsea 20.....I want to set it up and try a batch of my duck eggs first...then I'm gonna plunge into hatching some Icelandics...pretty stoked.
they are a rare breed...from Iceland....they are actually the chicken being featured this month on BYC...I got a hold of a breeder a few weeks back to get eggs ordered for this spring.Icelandics? Never heard of em.
I thought ducks were harder to hatch than chickens. I'll have to look up Icelandics to see what they are. I wish you the best of luck! It's a Brinsea 20.....I want to set it up and try a batch of my duck eggs first...I'm gonna plunge into hatching some Icelandics...pretty stoked.
