Who the heck ever heard of building a coop before the chicks were six weeks old?

My chicks are over 6 weeks old and I still don't have there coop finished

I just went out to burn some paper trash, and decided to roast a hotdog for lunch. Yes, the dog got one too.
I went out barefoot, keeping an eye out for poop. Well circling the fire trying not to get burned, I kept finding large chunks of glass. Each time I did, I was glad that Duckling wasn't around to get hurt. It never once occurred to me to put my darn shoes from my own feet! I am a special kind of stupid.

I got a coop before I got chickens.

Granted, I had the coop towed over and about 30 minutes later we caught the chickens and brought em over....... But, minor detail.
